Our fractional general counsel service is like having your own in-house legal department at a fraction of the cost. Unlike traditional law firms that are mostly reactive, never fully understand your business and are expensive, Callipari Law takes the time to fully understand your products and services as well as the unique goals and challenges you are facing so that the advice is always proactive, informed and reasonably priced. We also pride ourselves on being very responsive because legal should never hold up the business!

For companies that already have a general counsel or in house legal staff, we provide our services on an as-needed basis so that critical deal flow does not slow down while in house attorneys are working on other more pressing projects, on vacation, on leave or are just stretched too thin. We can either be retained and on site on a regular basis, as an extension of your existing legal department, or you can rely on us to roll up our sleeves and jump in when the need arises.

If desired, we provide weekly on-site office hours so that your trusted counsel will be there when important internal discussions and meetings take place. Having a general counsel on staff, including our name on your company's website and maintaining a company e-mail address on your e-mail system, will make your business appear more established because customers and vendors associate in-house legal departments with larger companies.

By providing services on a monthly flat fee basis, you will never get "sticker shock" when a bill arrives; even during months in which your legal needs exceed your monthly legal services allotment. For those clients who are not to make a monthly fee commitment, we also offer a standard hourly fee, project based fee and other creative fee arrangements.

Monthly Retainer Plans for Fractional "General Counsel" Legal Services
If your company has consistent legal needs and you like the idea of having your own “on staff” General Counsel, we offer a number of discounted monthly rate plans starting at $2,500 per month with a 3 month minimum commitment.   Our monthly pricing is based upon an estimated number of hours needed per month.  Please contact us for details.

Trial Period Retainer Plan
If you are not ready to commit to a monthly retainer plan to significantly reduce your legal spend, we offer a 30 day trial period where we will spend up to 3 hours meeting with business stakeholders to better understand your business, objectives and concerns, followed by 7-10 additional hours of legal services.  Please contact us for pricing.

Marc Callipari

​Marc Callipari has been practicing law for over 23 years.  He served as the Chief Legal Officer for New Frontier Media, a publicly traded technology and media distribution company in Boulder, Colorado for over 7 years.  In this executive role, Marc was responsible for all legal and human resource matters for the company.  Specifically, he negotiated all key domestic and international agreements, including completing contracts with three of the largest consumer electronics device manufacturers and all of the top cable and DBS platforms, making New Frontier’s programming available to hundreds of millions of viewers, he frequently engaged in M&A activities, including the sale of the Company in Q4 2012 achieving a 77% premium for shareholders, and he routinely advised the other executives and the board of directors on various corporate governance matters and strategic initiatives.

Prior to joining New Frontier Media, Marc was a senior corporate and litigation counsel for Level 3 Communications. At Level 3, Marc negotiated franchise, licensing, EPC, customer and real estate agreements relating to the rapid deployment of a fiber-optic telecommunications network totaling over 23,000 miles in 46 states.  He also developed strategies and actively managed counsel on over 100 ongoing litigation matters filed in federal and state courts throughout the nation and oversaw a multi-million dollar annual litigation budget.

Before going in house, Marc practiced law at McKenna & Cuneo (merged into Dentons - the largest global law firm in 2015) and other small boutique firms in Colorado and Washington, DC. between 1994 and 2003. His practice included representing most highly regulated clients, including health care providers, telecommunications companies and foreign governments. 

Since founding Callipari Law in 2013, Marc has been retained as fractional general counsel to a number of great companies, including: Photobucket, GoFire, SQFT, Tiny Hero, Roomlinx, Mind Body Network and Joe’s Answer.

In addition to practicing law for over 23 years, Marc has successfully started and operated a number of e-commerce, television programming distribution and real estate development businesses during his career.  Assisting your company with meeting its business goals and challenges is not a theoretical exercise to Marc; he has first hand practical experience of what it takes to build a business and drive revenue while managing risk.
